SRMIST to host Aaruush 2023, a National-Level techno-management fest

SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Kattankulathur is hosting Aaruush 2023 – a National-level techno-management fest from 21st September to 24th September 2023 at the institute’s campus. The fest will have over 100 events and will have about 250 plus national Universities/colleges and over 20 international colleges to take part. This year’s edition of Aaruush boasts distinguished speakers, experts, and luminaries from various fields, making it a unique and enlightening experience for all attendees.
Speaking at the press conference, Vice Chancellor of SRMIST Prof. C.Muthamizhchelvan said, “In SRMIST two major events are conducted and organised by students every year – Aaruush and Milan (a national-level cultural event). The first edition of Aaruush was inaugurated by former President of India Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, and every edition thereafter has been graced by eminent personalities. Every year there is an increase in the number of participants and events. The ideas and the objectives behind such events are related to (SDG) Sustainable Development Goals.”
Aaruush Secretary, Manazir Musthafa said, the inauguration will be done by Dr. Vipparthi Adimurthy, a Padma Shri awardee and renowned mission concept designer for Chandrayaan – I, II, and Mangalyaan. Mr. Varun Chakravarthy, a notable alumnus of SRMIST and a cricketer in the Indian National Cricket Team will address the student community.
Archita Arora, one of the organiser elaborated on the uniqueness of Aaruush 2023. He added that Day one titled “TECH UNLEASHED” covers the course through the digital revolution, exploring how technology is reshaping industries including Healthcare, Finance, and more.
Prachi Jain, another student organiser said, that Day two “TECH FOR FUTURE” – focuses on sustainability-driven innovation, presenting tech-driven solutions for a greener future, and Day three “TECHVOLUTION” – navigates the evolving tech landscape, uncovering how past innovations shape our present and future through cutting-edge technologies.
Akarsh Kishore, a member of the organising team said, “The fest always follows and converges with the sustainability goals of the college.”
D R Jeevan, 4th-year B.Tech student and Aaruush Secretary, said “Aaruush 2023 will feature a diverse range of interactive workshops, each hosted by experts. Luminary addresses include real-life war experiences, unleashing one’s true potential, achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through conservation, global leadership prowess, economic development through technology transfer, the future of unmanned aerial systems, and healthcare IT’s role in innovation.”
Present on the occasion were Director (Alumni Affairs) Dr. A. Rathinam, Dean (College of Engineering and Technology) Dr. T. V. Gopal and Director (Communications), Mr. R. Nandakummar among others.
