Chennai, Friday 18th November 2022: Madras Mylapore Round Table India 3 and Madras Mylapore Ladies Circle India 4 in association with Airport Authority of India (Chennai Airport) set an astounding record of serving the longest line of hunger relief packages at Chennai Airport, gate D7 today. Thus, meeting the criterion of the World Records Union for the longest line of hunger relief packages.
The cumulative humanitarian gesture equated to 3500 provision kits including, rice, pluses, rusk and sugar which are going to be distributed to several NGOs across Chennai. The provision kits were packed in cloth bags to address the need of the hour, which is ‘reduce plastic use’, while the reusability and durability of cotton bags also addresses the second ‘r’ (reduce, reuse) of saving the planet.
The presence of Nawabzada Mohammed Asif Ali, Dewan to Prince of Arcot; Dr Sharad Kumar, Airport Director Chennai International Airport AAI; K. V .K Sriram, Dy. Inspector General Chennai Airport, made the moment memorable for the entire organizing committee.
Varsha Aswani, founder, Born to Win Research Foundation Trust said, “It is an absolute honour to be part of this noble initiative, where we will be distributing the provision kits to several NGOs across the city. The NGOs include Amir Mahal Arcot Foundation; Space kids India Foundation; Trinity old age home; SARVODAYA; Rain Drops; Seva Chakkra Choolai Girls home; Cancer saviours; Support institutions and care homes catering to destitute women, the differently-abled, visually challenged and transgenders.”
