Star Health Launches its First ‘All Women Branch’ in Chennai

➢ Initiative aims to encourage women to invest in Health Insurance

India, 01 February 2024: India’s first standalone health insurance, Star Health and Allied Insurance Co. Ltd., today announced the opening of its ‘All Women’s Branch’ at Chennai. Located at No.1, New Tank Street, Valluvarkottam High Road, Nungambakkam, the branch nicknamed as Pink Branch, will be run by an all women staff catering exclusively to the health insurance needs of women. It strengthens the organization’s inherent values of diversity and inclusion.

Through this endeavor, the company not only aims to increase the participation of women in the insurance sector but also encourage more women to invest in protecting their health and wellness. The pink branch will see a dedicated staff of 10 women employees consists of a branch manager, 7 sales manager, 1 officer & 1 sub staff. The premises is designed for women and includes well-lit corridors, , and CCTV surveillance and security guards. The company has implemented the whistle blower policy for women safety and also provided comfortable working hours till 5:30 PM, enabling safe travel.
