SRM Global Hospitals deputes ambulance at Mahindra World City

Mahindra World City was the cynosure of all eyes when SRM Global Hospitals started its ambulance service today. It will have one driver and two qualified para Medical staff who can provide the care required to those in emergency while transporting the patients to the hospital.
Ambulance service was inaugurated by the Collector of Chengalpattu District AR Rahul Nadh at Mahindra World City Club (MWC) at Mahindra World City.
The ambulance has all the facilities like defibrillator, syringe pumps, ventillators, monitors and oxygen pumps required to provide care to the injured while on the way to the hospital, said Dr VP Chandrasekaran, Chief Operating Officer, SRM Global Hospitals.
Objective behind the commencement of ambulance service is to provide the right care during the golden hour, which would enhance the chances of patient’s survival. These equipments would be operated by qualified para medical staff who can provide tertiary care services (advanced resuscitation, advanced cardiac life support) to patients once they embark the ambulance, he said. These ambulance would operate round the clock, they would be placed at Zero Point or at the Administrative Office of Mahindra World City.
People in need of the ambulance service can dial 96444 96444 to avail it. Soon after the call is received, an emergency team would be alerted at SRM Global Hospitals to provide the services instantly on arrival, even while the ambulance driver is informed about the patient’s location, said Dr Chandrasekaran,
This service would be of great use to those residing at Mahindra World City, a location which is said to have a population of more than 1 lakh, he said. Even the residents of villages nearby too can make use of this service, he added. Additional Registrar of SRMIST Dr T Mythili, Capt Sunil Kurian, Sr GM Operations and Maintenance, MCDL were among those present.
