HTL Ltd. partners with Wockhardt Foundation to provide healthcare facility to the underprivileged Healthcare facility project in Chennai to benefit about 25,000 people annually
Chennai , March 16 , 2022 : HTL Ltd.
( Subsidiary of HFCL Limited ) , is an Industry acclaimed Optical Fiber Cable manufacturer , end – to – end fiber optic solutions provider & wiring harness manufacturer for Aerospace & Defence , Automotive & Industrial Segments with manufacturing facilities at Guindy Industrial Estate , Chennai & SIPCOT industrial estate , Hosur.
The Company has recently undertaken a Corporate Social Responsibility ( CSR ) project for promoting health care to the needy people in and around Chennai , in association with Wockhardt Foundation at a total cost of Rs.1.05 crores spread over a period of 3 years starting from the financial year 2021-22 . This project will benefit about 25,000 people annually . The healthcare facility being offered will include a mobile medical unit deployed with requisite testing equipment for diagnosis , lab reagents and medicine . A doctor , pharmacist and lab technician will also be available on a daily basis across six days in a week excluding Sundays from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM in and around Chennai .
HTL also plans to extend its CSR activity in association with Wockhardt Foundation for promoting health care to the needy people in & around Hosur as well . HFCL group has spent around Rs.25 crore so far on various CSR projects and plans to spend another about Rs.7-8 crores in next financial year 2023 towards CSR activities.

HFCL has positively impacted more than 5 lakh people through our CSR activities , especially in the medical and education sector . Through our association with the Wockhardt Foundation , we aim to extend the same through our subsidiary and amplify the impact on the society . This initiative is aimed at reaching out to the poor and needy who have limited or no access to basic healthcare facilities and to remain steadfast in our commitment to serve the nation.

The inaugural event was held in the premises of HTL Ltd , located in Guindy Industrial Estate. Shri. M. Balachandran , I.P.S. , A.D.G.P. ( Retd . ) , President , Reliance Industries Ltd. flagged off the mobile medical unit on 16th March , 2022 in the virtual presence of Shri . Mahendra Nahata , Managing Director of HFCL Ltd. & Chairman of HTL Ltd. who participated in the event from New Delhi along with Shri G. S. Naidu , Chief Operating Officer , HTL Ltd. and the management team of HTL Ltd.
