Breast Cancer Awareness Event at Bhalakh Medical Centre on 28th October 2022

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, an annual campaign to educate people about breast
cancer. Breast cancer is the most prevalent form of cancer in women.
Dr. Ranjitha Sudanthiram, MD of Bhalakh Medical
Centre along with FICCI FLO had organised this Breast
Cancer Awareness on 28th October 2022 between 4
and 5 pm. Around 40 women attended this event.
Dr. Ranjitha Sudanthiram is an aspiring Radiologist,
who believes in staying updated with the advances in
the field of Radiology and has a particular interest in
Women’s Imaging and Ultrasound Guided
Interventional Procedures. She has specialised in
Mammograms, Obstetrics Ultrasound, Doppler and
Ultrasound Guided Interventional Procedures. She
has been working meticulously on creating awareness
on the early detection of breast cancer and
prevention of cervical cancer. She has worked with
several colleges to create Breast Cancer Awareness.
Bhalakh Medical Centre is a premium health care
facility in Adyar. It hosts an Ultra-modern Out-Patient
facility with a revolutionary Radiological and
Diagnostic unit offering Ultrasound, Mammography,
X-Ray and Master Health Check-up.
The event was attended by FIICI FLO members like
Ms. Prasanna Vasanadu, Ms. Niyati A. Mehta, Ms.
Rachna Kumar, Ms. Nancy Satish, Dr. Radhi, Ms.
Preethika Munoth and Ms. Bharati Krishnan. Few
other women from other fraternities Ms.
Suganthshree, Ms. Ilakkiya, Ms. Deepika Sathish and
Ms. Shilpa, Ms. Sai Geetha also participated in the
event.
Dr. S. Ranjitha had given a detailed talk on Breast
Cancer-Early Detection, Prevention and Cure. She
emphasised on the need for an early Detection of
Breast Cancer through self-examination of the
breasts and screening-Mammogram.
Dr. Kamakshi also graced this event to add valuable
inputs and clarify doubts.
The session was very interactive and concluded with
the Q & A session. Dr.S. Ranjitha very patiently and
diligently clarified their doubts.
All the ladies were dressed in pink being the colour
code for the event. It was a very bright evening with
healthy conversations.
The event concluded with Hi Tea.
The event ended well. Dr. S. Ranjitha, Managing
Director and Dr. S. Udhaya Shankar, Medical Director
extended their heartfelt thanks to all the participants
for gracing the event and making it a successful one.
To encourage mammogram Dr. Ranjitha Sudanthiram
gifted everyone a gift voucher worth Rs. 1000/- as a
noble initiative on behalf of Bhalakh Medical Centre.
