AINU Offers Advanced da Vinci Surgical Robot for Precise and Minimally Invasive Urological Surgeries; Hosts Free Cancer Screening Camp on World Kidney Day

Chennai, 9th March 2023 – AINU- Asian Institute of Nephrology and Urology, a renowned name in the field of urology, launched the revolutionary surgical ‘daVinciRobot’ . The launch marks as one of the single specialty hospital across India offering the innovative technology.
The daVinci Robot is an advanced surgical tool that allows surgeons to perform complex minimally invasive surgeries with precision and accuracy. The system offers superior vision, enhanced dexterity, greater precision, and ergonomic comfort, making it possible for more surgeons to perform minimally invasive procedures involving complex and delicate dissection or reconstruction.

The daVinci Surgical System is an advanced surgical tool that helps surgeonsperform a variety of surgeries, the surgical system uses small cuts, it’s less traumatic on the patient’s body, resulting in less pain, fewer complications, and a shorter recovery time.
Speaking about the aspect of safety, Dr. Venkat added, “ The safety of da Vinci is well established over the last ten years, and it is widely performed worldwide, with one surgery performed every sixteen seconds globally. As part of the launch of the da Vinci Robot, AINU Chennai is committed to raising awareness of urological cancers and their prevention. To this end, AINU Chennai is conducting a free screening camp for senior citizens above 60 years of age on the occasion of World Kidney Day and the launch of the robotic surgical system as well as screening camp with focus on the detection of kidney, bladder, and prostate cancer, and aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of urological cancers to the public.

Through this free screening camp, we hope to reach out to the community and provide them with the knowledge they need to prevent and manage these types of cancers. The screening camp is open to all senior citizens above the age of 60, and will include free consultations with specialist doctors, as well as diagnostic tests and screenings for kidney, bladder, and prostate cancer. This initiative is part of AINU’s commitment to promoting public health and providing access to world-class healthcare services to the community.
