Indian Bank observes One Hour Shramdaan as part of Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) Campaign 2023

Chennai, 01st October 2023 – Indian Bank participated actively in “Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta”, organized under the aegis of the Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) campaign, to commemorate the 9th anniversary of Swachh Bharat Mission. This year’s SHS-2023 theme, ‘Garbage Free India,’ underscores the importance of cleanliness and well-being of SafaiMitras (sanitation workers). The primary objective is to drive public engagement and participation in clean-up activities. The Bank hosted a number of events at various rural and urban centres in 35 Districts where Indian Bank is the Lead Bank and also through all its offices spread across the country for promoting cleanliness and recognizing the invaluable contributions of sanitation workers.

Today on 01st October 2023, Indian Bank continued its engagement in the SHS campaign with another significant event, ‘One hour Shramdaan’ at Rani Meyyammai Girls Higher Secondary School, Chennai led by Shri. S. L. Jain, MD & CEO of Indian Bank and Executive Directors Shri Imran Amin Siddiqui, Shri Mahesh Kumar Bajaj, and Shri Ashutosh Choudhury, along with customers and other Senior Officials of the Bank. After the Shramdaan, School bags were distributed to the students of the school, belonging to underprivileged sections of the society.

Indian Bank believes in the power of collective action and invites all stakeholders, including customers, employees, and the public, to join hands in this noble endeavor and continue to devote their time to make a significant impact in creating a cleaner and healthier India.
