Dr. Gunaseelan Rajan has been selected as a President of Asian Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons in the conference held in Seoul, Korea.
For the first time, a surgeon from South India Dr. Gunaseelan Rajan has become the President of the Asian Association of Oral & Maxillofacial surgeons (AAOMS). AAOMS is the largest professional society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons in Asia and is headquartered in Japan. Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery is a specialty of dentistry and these surgeons treat jaw and face disorders and diseases, jaw fractures, cancers in the mouth region, aesthetic facial surgery, TM Joint problems, cleft lip & palate surgeries and advanced dental implant surgeries.
In the conference function held in Seoul in South Korea on 28th May 2022. Dr. Gunaseelan Rajan took over as President from Dr. H.K.Oh, Korea. The term of office will be for two years.This conference was the first combined physical and online conference after the pandemic. More than 2000 delegates from over 40 countries participated in this hybrid conference and included the Presidents of the International Association and the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons.
