As depicted by the meaning of the word, the purpose of WICCI Sangamam 2024 is to act as a platform for the coming together of ancient textile traditions, modern techniques and artistic talents. Over a 2-day period of sharing and gaining knowledge from renowned speakers, heritage conservationists and practitioners the craft of handloom craftmanship and natural dyeing, we delve deep into a heritage that speaks volumes about human creativity, environmental sustainability, and cultural resilience.
Topics covered include: Textile Traditions: A Global Perspective, Journey of Natural Dyes, Exploration of Natural Dyeing Methods, Modern Innovations in Handloom, Advancements in Handloom Techniques, and Integration of Modern Technology with Traditional Craftsmanship.
