A music journey across genres, languages and continents that will have us clapping our hands, tapping our feet and singing out loud. After a wildly successful debut in Mumbai, The Madras Guild of Performing Arts (MGPA)is proud to present its debut solo concert ‘Lift Every Voice’ in Chennai on Sunday, February 19, 2023, 7PM at the Sir Mutha Venkatasubba Rao Auditorium, Harrington Road, Chetpet, in aid ofThe Kindness Foundation.
The MGPA arrived on the Chennai music scene in 2022 with a simple objective – to celebrate music. Unfettered by traditional paradigms, they bridge genres fearlessly to produce performances that will enhance music experiences.
The MGPA is determined to push the music envelope in terms of Choral, Orchestral, Instrumental, Broadway, Musicals, Opera, Theatre, Jazz, Blues & Dance, while remaining true to our roots. Whether on our own OR in collaboration with companies, bands, choirs and diverse ensembles,The MGPA intends to build a brand that makes a refreshing impact in the music scene.
The Madras Guild of Performing Arts is conducted by Atul Jacob Isaac’ an Orchestral, Opera & Choral Conductor, Pianist, Piano Accompanist, Pipe Organist, Singer, the Middle School Choral Conductor at the American International School Chennai and the Music Director of The Madras Guild of Performing Arts.
The senior and junior ensembles will be accompanied by some of India’s finest musicians with Avinash Mario Grubb on piano, Donan Murray on guitar, Keith Peters on bass and Rahul Gopal on drums and percussion.
The Sunshine Orchestra from the AR Rahman foundation will be opening the show.
