Chennai, Friday, December 29, 2023 – Today marks a significant stride in the support and empowerment of 2-wheeler mechanics, a vital segment of our society, as they grapple with the challenges posed by a rapidly evolving automotive landscape. The Business Growth Focus Camp, held at IOB Mylapore in collaboration with the MSME Department, aimed to address the hurdles faced by independent 2-wheeler mechanics, providing them with tools for business management and access to credit schemes.
Thirty years ago, 2-wheeler mechanics enjoyed widespread attention and social recognition when the 2-wheeler was a cherished dream for many. Today, with an increased number of 2-wheelers on the road, these mechanics face numerous challenges, including coping with newer models, evolving technologies, and heightened customer expectations. Adapting to these changes requires a continuous commitment to upgrading skills and equipment.
Despite various government schemes launched for the MSME sector, 2-wheeler mechanics have struggled to avail themselves of the benefits due to a lack of comprehensive paper records, essential for proving business potential. Recognizing this gap, the iSteer MConnect and Vaahna Digital platforms offer a seamless solution, enabling mechanics to create simple, accessible records that not only surpass customer expectations but also serve as valuable documentation for credit schemes through banks, at significantly reduced interest rates.
The Credit Scheme Awareness and Dispersal Camp conducted at IOB Mylapore witnessed the participation of 50 2-wheeler mechanics, who were introduced to the transformative capabilities of iSteer MConnect and Vaahna Digital for efficient business management.
