CREDAI Chennai Unveils Residential Building Construction Program for Civil Engineering Students
Chennai 18 June 2023 – CREDAI Chennai (Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India, Chennai) and ICI-Chennai Centre (Indian Concrete Institute, Chennai Centre) are delighted to announce the launch of a Residential Building Construction program aimed at empowering civil engineering students to pursue their entrepreneurial aspirations in the field of Civil Engineering. The program recently commenced its inaugural batch in Chennai, which spans a duration of one month.
The first batch of Civil Engineering students got the privilege of receiving guidance and insights from esteemed industry leaders. Mr. R. Jeyakumar, Chairman – Skill Development, CREDAI Chennai, and Dr. T. Arul, Convenor – Skill Development, CREDAI Chennai, shared their expertise and provided valuable advice to aspiring civil engineers. Additionally, Mr. Muralidharan N G, Chairman – ICICC (Indian Concrete Institute, Chennai Centre), and Mr. C. Kalyanasundaram, Supdt. Engineer – TnPWD (Tamil Nadu Public Works Department), graced the event and addressed the students, sharing their profound knowledge and experiences.
The sessions are tailored to deliver practical insights and hands-on experience that will prove invaluable in the participants’ entrepreneurial endeavors. A major highlight of the program is the certification awarded by primary industrial bodies upon completion. This recognition will enhance the professional credentials of participants and open doors to wider opportunities within the industry. Moreover, the program offers comprehensive guidance on starting an entrepreneurial venture and facilitates access to a vast industry network that can provide invaluable support and mentorship
Mr. S Sivagurunathan, President, CREDAI Chennai, expressed his enthusiasm for the program, stating, “We are thrilled to collaborate with ICI-Chennai Centre to introduce this transformative program for civil engineering students. Building upon the expertise of industry veterans and experienced academicians, the ‘Residential Building Construction Program for Entrepreneurship’ provides participants with a unique opportunity to learn from the best minds in the field and it offers an intensive curriculum designed to equip civil engineers with the essential tools and insights needed to embark on their entrepreneurial journey.
Academic institutions with civil engineering departments are encouraged to share details about the ‘Residential Building Construction Program for Entrepreneurship’ with their students, offering them an outstanding chance to pursue their entrepreneurial aspirations. Participants will undergo a formal evaluation process, and upon successful completion of the program, they will be awarded grade certificates.
