Chennai, 13th May 2022: Kickstart this weekend by partying with your gang at Mount Road SOCIAL as your neighbourhood all- day café & bar is hosting Vinayak^a aka Vinayak Karthikayan for a live gig in collaboration with ODDx. Groove to some of the most innovative electronic music as Vinayak^a will be performing live on 13th May 2022, 8 pm onwards at the outpost.
About Vinayak^a
There are some artists that don’t need an introduction, while others are too fluid to be defined. Vinayak^a who is basically the alter ego of Vinayak Karthikayan, is one such name on the Indian electronic scene. One of the country’s leading electronic DJ and Producer, Vinayak^a is always looking to innovate and is a master at weaving his inner journey into a medley of sounds. Known for his raw, spontaneous, and immensely powerful sets, Vinayak’s compositions are a reflection of his true self. A big believer in the power of collaboration, his recent work includes an EP with the globally acclaimed Talvin Singh and an upcoming album stemming from their set at the London Mela. In the same vein, his travel based collaborative audiovisual project with Rest of My Family aims to shine a light on and preserve the music of the Biate tribe of Assam and Meghalaya. Voted as My FavDJ’s, Best Electronica DJ/Artist, he has constantly pushed boundaries with successful releases on global labels including John Digweed’s Bedrock imprint, Armada Music, Buddha Bar, and upcoming ones on Particles and Subtract Music; while keeping audiences on their feet playing festivals like Sunburn, VH1 Supersonic (Awakenings Stage), EVC, Echoes of Earth, Satellite Beachside, Krank and Go: Madras. No surprise that big names like Hernan Cattaneo, Martin Buttrich, Pig & Dan, Michael cassette, have remixed tracks for him.
